An Easy Process for Making a Patient Referral to Rehab

At Castle Health, we understand the importance of providing our patients with the highest quality medical and therapeutic care throughout the entire admission process. We are here to help you every step of the way, from gathering relevant medical information about your patients current condition to conducting a comprehensive preadmission assessment.

If you are a GP, therapist or psychiatrist looking to refer your patient to a residential rehab hospital, you can trust Castle Health clinics to provide the highest level of care.

We also accept self-referrals, referrals from family, employers or other medical and counselling professionals, as well as substance misuse agencies.

We involve referrers in the admissions process and, with patient permission, will keep you updated on their progress throughout their treatment with us. We understand how important it is for both patients and their families that they get the help they need in a caring and professional environment.

  • To begin the admission process, we usually request a referral letter from the patients family doctor (GP).
  • Then one of our Consultant Psychiatrists will assess the case with any thirdparty medical professionals or private counsellors that have been involved in the patients treatment.
  • The assessment includes determining detoxification needs, chemical use history, and any related mental health issues such as dual diagnosis.

Our Consultant Psychiatrists have overall responsibility for admissions and strive to provide each patient with an individualised treatment plan that meets their specific needs.

If you have any further questions about referring a private patient to Castle Craig for inpatient rehab services, please do not hesitate to contact our admissions team directly.
